The Data Protection, Secrutiy and Privacy (DPSP) in the Cloud cluster is a group of an EU-funded projects with key objectives on data protection, security and privacy in the cloud. Following on from the successful formation of the cluster, and first meeting in October 2015, the cluster is now holding the DPSP Workshop 2016 in Napoli (Italy), on Tuesday 23rd February 2016.
The workshop addresses some of the key issues of cloud security and privacy, and in particular: security level agreements, data sharing agreements, reactive cloud applications, data localization, security of cloud-based public services, secure communication and processing in cloud platforms.
SLALOM will be respresented by Gian Marco Rinaldi (Senior Legal Advisor on Cloud SLAs from Bird & Bird) who will participate as panelist in the DPSP event discussing on the Challenges for (multi-)cloud-based services in Digital Single Market, particularly from the benefits that SLALOM's legal perspective can put on the table.
DPSP Workshop 2016 also features presentations from 5 project partners: SPECS, SERECA, MUSA, COCOCLOUD, and CLIPS. There is also presentatiosn from the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) Italian Chapter, who are the DPSP cluster’s community partner. Notable speakers will include Alberto Manfredi (President, CSA Italy), Aljosa Pasic (Technology Transfer Director, Atos) and Luigi Romano (Professor of Engineering, University of Naples).
